Cylinder synchronization - synchronous possible?

Cylinder synchronization with flow divider

What is the possibility of moving two hydraulic cylinders at the same speed, the so-called synchronization?

Since every product is subject to a certain manufacturing tolerance and the resistances applied externally are also different, it cannot be ruled out that the breakaway torque of two cylinders of the same design is the same. Even the general assumption of using cables of the same length does not lead to success. In order to get a grip on the synchronicity, there is the possibility of a very stable forced guidance or so-called volume or flow dividers. Here, the applied hydraulic flow is divided into two equal oil flows by a "gear pump". As a result, the cylinders are positively controlled by the volume flow, so that the cylinder with the lowest resistance does not start first.

▶ Application: The flow divider is used when the movement of two or more hydraulic cylinders is to be synchronous.
