A hydraulic cylinder usually has 2 positions that it can move to. The retracted and extended position. In order to be able to move to other positions in a defined manner, you can either use position measuring systems on the cylinder or integrated as with the WMZ161, or special cylinders that have several stops inside and thus define the positions.
With the MZ250 and MZNI250, we already have a standard block cylinder in our range that can move to 3 positions.
If you need longer strokes, you should use round cylinders. The 3-position cylinder would be the right choice here. If you do not need several positions in one stroke, but preferably several strokes in a small space, the multiple block cylinder is the right choice for short strokes.
