In times of growing political tensions, we are sending a clear signal for democracy, the rule of law and the values of our Basic Law. The campaign "Unity.Law.Freedom." brings together prominent voices from business, science and society to defend these fundamental principles.
From the state chairwoman of the Association of German Women Entrepreneurs to the rector of Offenburg University of Applied Sciences - all co-initiators emphasize the importance of freedom, openness to the world and diversity of opinion for our success. "Populism gives too simple answers to complicated questions," warns Dr. Dieter Salomon, Managing Director of the Southern Upper Rhine Chamber of Industry and Commerce.
The campaign is directed against extremism, exclusion and division. We stand for unity, because discourse and diversity of opinion are part of democracy, justice, because our constitution guarantees the dignity of every human being, and freedom, because our eco-social market economy is the basis for success and peaceful coexistence.
