In many applications, reliable statements about the current position of a hydraulic cylinder are required, for example for safety queries or to prevent different axes of motion from interfering with each other. The simplest form here is position switches. Inductive, pressure-resistant proximity switches (NI sensors) are most commonly used for this purpose in the end positions of the hydraulic cylinders.
