Part 1: The media converter
? Application:
You have a production machine with a very large hydraulic filling quantity. You want to connect a high temperature cylinder to this machine without having to use large quantities of the special (and expensive) high temperature oil.
! Our solution:
The MW400 media converter adapts high temperature cylinders, with up to 200°C at 400 bar pressure, to normal temperature hydraulic circuits.
Inside the media converter, a sliding piston reliably separates the two hydraulic fluids.
With the aid of the lateral adjustment spindle, the volume expansion that occurs due to the temperature increase can be taken into account.
Two media converters are required to control a double-acting cylinder. In this case, the filling can be carried out via the piping/hosing or via a miniature coupling on the cylinder itself.
For mounting and connecting the media converter, the different designs of our BLZ400 catalog are available, but also special requests can be considered during the design.
